Learning because it mattered.
Stephen began studying nutrition when he was about thirteen, while looking for ways to help his chronically ill mother. He learned about herbs, fasting, vitamins and minerals at an age when most people had barely begun thinking about food beyond the next meal. What started as necessity became a lifelong discipline.
That education continued through bodybuilding, which was a serious personal hobby rather than a professional career. Food was never an abstract theory. It affected recovery, strength, body composition, energy and the ability to perform. Stephen experimented carefully, watched what changed and kept learning.
Over the decades, Stephen created nutrition plans for athletes, bodybuilders, fitness competitors and ordinary people trying to feel and function better. His approach combines sustained study with direct experience: use sound evidence, pay attention to the person in front of you and make the plan practical enough to live with.
Food for Back Pain brings that work full circle. It is Stephen's growing library of ingredient guides, science briefs, real-food ideas and traditional kitchens, organized around connective tissue, nerves, recovery and long-term resilience.
Stephen is also the creator of the Back Healer Method and the author of Sciatica Secrets. Those projects address the wider self-care system. Here, the focus stays where it belongs: on food.
